AJ started training 7 years ago to stay in shape for college football. He quickly fell in love with weight training and made it into an obsession. He first began bodybuilding in 2015 when he had made the decision that he would like to step on stage after completing his Level 3 Personal Training qualification. AJ placed 2nd in his first show, the NPA South East qualifier and followed up with a 3rd place spot at the NPA British Finals in the juniors class.

After AJ's first competitive season he focused on his personal training business and started prep for his 2nd competition in 2016, the UKUPĀ  South. He placed 4th in the qualifier with an invite to the British Finals of which he placed 5th in the Open Classic Bodybuilding class.

In his third competitive seasonĀ AJ started off 2017 by winning his first show, BNBF BodyPower Classic in an impressive juniors line up on one of the biggest stages of the year, followed up with a 3rd place at the PCA North East Championships.

AJ's goals are to compete internationally within the next couple of years.
