Nutty Protein Bars / Balls
Ingredients
150g/5oz of Almonds
150g/5oz of Raisins
1 teaspoon of Cinnamon
1 Scoop of Chocolate Peanut Butter Myofusion
1 Tablespoon of Natural Peanut Butter
Method
Give the Almonds and Raisins a quick wash with some water, this will make them a little more moist. Put them into the blender or glass bowl and use your hand blender and whizz, add the Peanut Butter, MyoFusion and the cinnamon and whizz again! When the ingredients are well mixed you can roll them ito little balls or you can make them into bars you need to allow these to set and they are then ready to eat.
Almond Butter
This is a great alternative to Peanut Butter, you may use this in any of the recipes I have uploaded in place of Peanut Butter. This recipe is great to add to your Protein Shakes for added protein and good fats or you may just spread it onto Wholemeal or Granary toast for breakfast, or on rice cakes as a snack.
Ingredients
12 oz (weight) or 3 cups of Raw Almonds (shelled)
1 Tablespoon of Cinnamon
1 Tablespoon of Good Honey (optional)
Method
Put all of the ingredients into a blender and blend to the consistency you prefer. The longer you puree the ingredients the creamier the outcome. This can take upto 10 minutes but is well worth the wait. You may blend for less if you prefer a crunchier paste.
If you would like a more nutty taste then you may wish to roast your almonds first but you MUST allow them to cool before starting this recipe. The way to roast them is to spread them evenly on a baking tray and pop into a pre-heated oven on about 175 'c - 350 'f and roast for around 8-10 mins, until golden.
Also it may work out cheaper to buy almonds with their shell on and just shell them at home by putting the almonds in a bowl of boiling water and leaving for around 5 mins and when you pick them up and squeeze them between your finger and thumb they should pop out of their shells. If they don't do this after 5 mins pop back into the water until it is possible to squeeze them out of their shell.
Protein Peanut Butter Spheres
Ingredients
3oz (weight) or 12 Tablespoons of Natural/Whole Earth Peanut Butter
4 Tablespoons of Honey
1 Scoop of Double Chocolate or Delicious Vanilla Myofusion
1/2 Cup (2oz weight) Uncooked Oats.
Method
Mix ingredients together in a bowl. Once well mixed form into balls about 1inch round. Place in the fridge for around 3 hours. Ready to eat as a delicious healthy protein snack!!
The measurements and ingredients given will provide you with around 80g Protein.
