Fruit & Nut Museli Dessert

Ingredients

METHOD

Toast the nuts in a dry frying pan over a medium-high heat until golden, about 3 minutes should be fine. Chop them and then set aside.

Stir together the yogurt, milk, honey, oats, and vanilla in a bowl. Divide the mixture evenly between 4 small dishes or 2 larger dishes if for yourself for breakfast . Top each with a half cup of berries, then 2 tbsps of nuts and add the sliced strawberries. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight. There you have your lovely Nut and Fruit Museli Dessert. This a great guilt free dessert or a great breakfast.

 

Protein Key Lime Pie

Ingredients
1 Scoop of Vanilla MyoFusion
100g fat free Quark or Cottage Cheese
1 egg white
1 teaspoon of Lime Juice
Splenda

Method

Pre-heat the oven to 150 degrees or drop to 140 degrees if using a fan assisted oven.

Mix togther your quark or cottage cheese, vanilla MyoFusion and Lime Juice. If you are using cottage cheese, you should blend this so it is smooth. Taste the mixture for sweetness and then add Splenda to you own taste requirements. Then add your egg white and stir thoroughly. Once well mixed pour the mixture into a oven safe small dish, pyrex, silicone or something similar as we will cook this Bain Marie style.

The oven should now be heated, now put a small oven dish or roasting tray with about an inch of water into the oven, pop your Key Lime mixture dish into the centre of the water and bake for 20 minutes. Once cooked allow to cool and it's ready to eat...Yum!!!

This recipe makes a single serving, however you can double or quadruple the ingredients to make how many you like.

Super High Protein Banana Delight Ice Cream with Nuts

Ingredients
2 Large chilled bananas
2 Scoops of Banana MyoFusion
1 Teaspoon Splenda (optional)
4 large egg whites, beaten until stiff 
Small Handful of Raw Almond or Walnuts

Put  banana's in a food processor or in a bowl and use a hand blender and purée. Add the protein powder, nuts and the sweetener (if using) and and whizz again. Fold the mixture into the egg whites and mix thoroughly. Spoon into a plastic container and freeze for 4 hours.

P.S- At risk of sounding Stupid!! Please leave out the nuts if you do have an allergy, they are only an extra and are not necessary!! But will provide a little extra protein!! And taste great too!!

Strawberry Sherbet Protein Ice Cream

Ingredients
450g or 16 oz of fresh strawberries or unsweetened frozen strawberries, thawed 
2 Scoops of Strawberry MyoFusion
2 Teaspoons Splenda (optional)
4 large egg whites, beaten until stiff 
1- 1.1/2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice

Method
Put the strawberries in a food processor or in a bowl and use a hand blender and purée. Add the lemon juice and the sweetener (if using) and the protein powder and whizz again. Fold the strawberry mixture into the egg whites and mix thoroughly. Spoon into a plastic container and freeze for 4 hours.

Sugar Free Meringue
  
Ingredients
4 Egg Whites 
Approx 2 Tablespoons Splenda or similar
1/2 Teaspoon of Ground Cinnamon
2 Large Ripe Banana's
1 Scoop of Banana MyoFusion
1 Tablespoon of Cold Water
A squeeze of Lemon Juice
A small handful of Almonds (chopped) or you may choose any other nut you prefer

Method

Start by pre-heating your oven to 140'c/gas mark one. Then take a large bowl and whisk your eggs until they stand up in peaks. Very slowly add your Splenda/sweetener and cinnamon. Keep whisking until the egg whites become even firmer still.


Line a baking tray with grease proof paper (use a little tiny blob of the mixture to each corner of the baking tray before putting the grease proof on to hold the paper in place) Divide the meringue mixture into small blobs and sprinkle each with the chopped nuts and bake in the oven for about half an hour. The meringues should be crispy to the touch but cooked throughout. Remove and serve warm with the banana protein mixture or allow to cool and serve later as a cold dessert. You either sandwich the banana mixture in between 2 meringues, or just spread the mixture onto 1 meringue like you would jam on toast or crumble into the the mixture and serve with extra chopped nuts for a fantastic protein rich Eton Mess type of dessert.

Take a hand blender and whizz your ripe banana's up with the squeeze of lemon juice, then add the water and MyoFusion until completely firm.  You may make the meringues in advance but do not make the banana mixture until you are ready to serve as the banana's may turn brown, which is okay but doesn't look as nice. 
 
You may substitute the Bananas for Strawberries and Strawberry myofusion.
 
 
This recipe is high in protein.You hjave the main ingredients for a meringue so if you are dieting for a contest then this is an ideal recipe (forgetting the fruit mixture) just as a sin free treat.Just make the meringues in advance and they will be good for added protein throughout the day as the only other ingredient is cinnamon and splenda which are both fine pre-contest!

 

 

Healthy Diet Pancakes
 
Ingredients
 
6 Egg Whites
1 Teaspoon of Splenda
1 Tablespoon of Oats
1 1/2 Scoops of your Favorite MyoFusion. My personal favorite is Banana or Vanilla for these pancakes BUT they are all nice whatever flavour you prefer!
(Optional) 1 Pinch of Cinnamon or Nutmeg

These pancakes will cook in minutes so do not leave them. Cook with a spray or 2 of 1 cal on a medium to high heat turning once.
 
These pancakes are great if you are on a Pre-Contest Diet or just cutting for the summer!!! However if you are NOT cutting then if you use Chocolate MyoFusion or IntraPro and spread a layer of warmed Peanut Butter and roll the pancake up, that is pretty gorgeous.
